A restore point is a snapshot of your computer's system files and settings. It can be used to restore your computer to a previous state if something goes wrong.

  1. Open the Control Panel.
  2. Click on System and Security.
  3. Click on System.
  4. On the left-hand side, click on System protection.
  5. Click on the Create a restore point button.
  6. In the Create a restore point dialog box, type a name for the restore point and click on Create.
  7. Your computer will now create a restore point.
Here are some things to keep in mind when creating a restore point:
  • You can create as many restore points as you want.
  • Restore points are stored on your hard drive, so make sure that you have enough free space.
  • Restore points can only be used to restore your computer to a previous state. They cannot be used to recover lost files.
If you need to restore your computer to a restore point, follow these steps:
  1. Open the Control Panel.
  2. Click on System and Security.
  3. Click on System.
  4. On the left-hand side, click on System protection.
  5. Click on the System Restore button.
  6. In the System Restore dialog box, select the restore point that you want to use and click on Next.
  7. Follow the instructions on the screen to restore your computer.
Restoring your computer to a restore point will not delete any of your personal files. However, it will undo any changes that you have made to your computer since the restore point was created. This includes installing new software, drivers, and updates.
